The proprietary MESSAGE Method

The MESSAGE Method: a clear path from “what do you actually do?” to a funnel that brings in the right clients.

Most marketing advice hands you tactics before you have a foundation. The MESSAGE Method is the order I work in with every client, so each step builds on the last instead of adding to the pile. Seven steps, plain English, no jargon.

Why a method at all

The tactic usually is not the first problem.

If you've ever paid for marketing that looked busy but didn't bring in leads, it usually isn't because the tactic was wrong. It's because the tactic came first. A great post won't help if the offer isn't clear. A new website won't convert if there's no path from “just looking” to “let's talk.”

The MESSAGE Method fixes the order. We get the foundation right, then build the funnel, then improve what converts. That's how a small business gets results without an agency budget or a full-time hire.

The seven steps

What MESSAGE stands for

Seven practical decisions, in the order that makes each next step stronger.

M

Market

Get clear on exactly who you're for and what they're really trying to solve. We stop trying to reach everyone and name the specific client you do your best work for. When the market is clear, every other decision gets easier.

Ask yourself: could a stranger tell in five seconds whether this is for them?

E

Essence

Define what you do and why it matters in one sentence anyone can repeat. This is the line you wish you had ready when someone asks what you do at a networking event. Once it's clear to you, it can be clear to them.

Ask yourself: if I disappeared, could my best client explain my value for me?

S

Story

Turn that essence into a story that explains the problem, the shift, and why you. People don't buy a list of services. They buy the before-and-after. Your story makes the value obvious instead of something you have to argue for.

Ask yourself: does my website explain the problem I solve, or just list what I offer?

S

Signal

Choose the one or two channels you can actually keep up, and the message that runs through them. Consistency on a couple of channels beats scattered effort everywhere. We pick what fits your time and your buyer, not what's trendy.

Ask yourself: am I maintaining my channels, or are they maintaining a slow drift?

A

Assets

Build the pages, content, and lead magnets that do the convincing while you work. This is where the message becomes real: a clear homepage, service pages that answer real questions, content that earns trust, a resource worth an email address.

Ask yourself: if a perfect client landed on my site today, is there anything ready to move them forward?

G

Guide

Design the path that walks a stranger from “just looking” to “let's talk,” one step at a time. Every asset points to an obvious next step. No dead ends, no ten competing buttons, no guessing what to do next.

Ask yourself: on every page, is it obvious what I want the visitor to do?

E

Evaluate

Track what's working, cut what isn't, and improve the funnel instead of guessing. We look at message match, page clarity, calls to action, and follow-up, then fix the weakest link. Marketing gets better on purpose, not by luck.

Ask yourself: do I know which step is losing people, or am I just hoping?

How we use it together

Start with the step that is clearly broken.

You don't have to do all seven at once. Most clients start with the one step that's clearly broken, which is exactly what the free first conversation is for: I help you find the gap, and we start there. Some people need messaging, from Market through Story. Some already have traffic and need the funnel, from Signal through Evaluate. The method just makes sure we fix the right thing in the right order.

Start with the gap

Not sure which step you're stuck on? That's the whole point of the first call.

Bring me what feels unclear, what you've already tried, and what you wish were easier. I'll help you find the gap in your funnel and tell you the honest next step, whether or not that's working with me.
